  • Watermelon – 4 cups or 1 medium-sized
  • Lemon juice – 4 tbsp
  • Ginger – 1 inch piece
  • Honey – 4 tbsp or to taste
  • Black salt – ¾ tsp or to taste
  • Black pepper – 1 tsp or to taste, freshly ground
  • Ice – as needed
Instructions
  1. In two batches, blend together the watermelon, ginger, lemon juice, honey and black salt.
  2. Strain the juice using a fine mesh sieve.
  3. Season the juice with freshly ground black pepper.
  4. Mix well. Watermelon juice is ready.
  5. Fill the serving glass or mason jars halfway with ice. Pour the watermelon lemonade over the ice. Serve immediately.

      Hi Michelle. Yes, you can totally skip honey if you don’t like it. You may add sugar instead or skip that too if the watermelon is sweet enough to balance the sourness of lemon. 🙂
